PLANET SNOW Plaza

This is a snowy open space where anyone can gather. Here, the large-scale installation “IWAGUMI Air Scape” by art and technology studio ENESS will make an appearance. These boulder-shaped balloons reaching up to 14 metres tall are not to be missed.

This, together with Nikken Sekkei’s environmental design, will magically change the scenery of Sapporo Snow Festival.

One full block of Odori Park will be transformed into the “Snow Square of Planet Snow.”

“IWAGUMI Air Scape,” the large-scale installation scheduled for exhibition, will majestically yet delicately convey a message of harmony with nature in a public park space. For this upcoming edition, the period for this dedicated block venue has been extended until the conclusion of サイアフ2027. Visitors will be able to experience this immersive world that dramatically transforms Sapporo’s winter landscape even after the closing of the Sapporo Snow Festival.
