An audio guide and performance from theater director WADA Nagara will transform visitors’ experience at the Science Center into a little journey.

In addition, a new animation by French artist Boris LABBÉ will be shown in the planetarium. Here, a new landscape will unfold with the theme of “Art x Science”.

The interactive artwork “Genki-ro” by KURIBAYASHI Takashi, an artist active across the world, will appear in the open space in front of the Sapporo Science Center. The Sapporo Science Center will serve as a venue where visitors can encounter unseen possibilities at the intersection of art and science.

Newly confirmed artists include HOTEHAMA Taku, who explores the fluidity between figuration and abstraction through motifs of plants and landscapes, and theater director WADA Nagara, who creates “plays” by interpreting everyday conversations and gestures through a unique perspective and superimposing people, situations, and experiences.
