Sapporo is a designated Media Arts City of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Here are some winter photos sent by our fellow Media Arts Cities around the world
What is the UNESCO Creative Cities Network
The UNESCO Creative Cities Network is an international network established by UNESCO in 2004 with the aim of promoting sustainable urban development through culture and creativity. It covers eight creative fields Crafts and Folk Art, Design, Film, Gastronomy, Literature, Media Arts, Music, and Architecture.
This page reproduces the content of the outdoor showcase panel displayed at the Winter Pre-Event Sapporo Snow Festival Odori 6-chome Site.
The panels design was created by designer YAMADA Mei of the Asahikawa-based design office cagicacco.
Asahikawa City, like Sapporo, is also a member city of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Asahikawa City is a participating member of the Design Creative Field.
