In Memory of Artist chi too

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of chi too, a Malaysian artist who participated in the OPEN GATE 2017 program of the Sapporo International Art Festival 2017 サイアフ2017. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
サイアフ2017, headed by Guest Director OTOMO Yoshihide, featured a diverse range of programs that brought together people from Japan and abroad, creating many unforgettable scenes during Sapporo’s summer.
As part of OPEN GATE 2017 at the Ishiyama Green Space, which hosted several artists from Southeast Asia, chi too delivered a unique performance that blended the parks characteristics with his iconically humorous perspective. His presence remains deeply etched in the hearts of audiences and the サイアフ staff.
We honor chi too’s remarkable contributions and keep him in our warmest thoughts.
