Wacom Co., Ltd. is a technology leadership company that delivers the experience of creative expression through digital pen and digital ink technologies. Their pen tablet products, invented in Japan, are widely used around the world, from professional fields, such as film production and design, to public institutions.

Following SIAF2024, the company will continue its role as an Initiative Partner for SIAF2027, participating in the “SIAF School” program. In addition to leading one of the outreach class programs for elementary and junior high school students in Sapporo, it will also present an exhibition at the Sapporo Shiryokan venue. Rather than treating digital technology as a mere tool, the company positions it as a powerful partner for expression, aiming to build a society where everyone can express their creativity and actively shape a better future with their own hands.

This fiscal year, SIAF and Wacom will continue the joint school visits to elementary and middle schools in Sapporo that have been held since 2025. During SIAF 2027, the company will hold the interactive exhibition “Future Arts and Craft Room” in the Shiryokan (Former Sapporo Court of Appeals), where SIAF School will open. These initiatives will foster creativity across generations, enable interactions with creators and professionals, share new expressions and values with society, and expand common ground between art and business.
