Startbahn, Inc. is a Tokyo-based startup founded in 2014 that builds infrastructure for the art world. Centered on Startrail, a blockchain-based infrastructure recording certificates and provenance of artworks, Startbahn works with museums, galleries, and auction houses in Japan and abroad to ensure that artworks circulate and are passed down across generations with trust. Through technology, the company nurtures new relationships between art and society.

Startbahn, a company that provides infrastructure for recording artwork certificates, will launch a new art experience at SIAF 2027. In this experience, one will be able to encounter “unseen artworks” throughout the city that can only be obtained and enjoyed in specific locations. This will combine art and high technology in order to create an entirely new and inspirational touring experience that provides a special value unique to certain places.
