サイアフ2027 will imagine Sapporo as a single planetPlanet Snow prompting us to relect on this planet’s ways of life as well as history, culture, and the future as a whole.
The theme can be expressed with two phrases in the Ainu language. For those who live in Sapporo, Planet Snow is upas mintar snow garden, and for those visiting from afar, it is upas nociw snow star. We look forward to meeting you on Planet Snow, where a multitude of images and ideas will intersect.
The Sapporo International Art Festival サイアフ is an initiative that introduces opportunities for discovery, learning, and participation by exhibiting artworks and new forms of expression from around the world in Sapporo. Centered around the triennial art festival, サイアフ also collaborates continuously with schools, local communities, and businesses to cultivate a creative environment within the city.
