EXHIBITIONS
Yuko Mohri
Artist Yuko Mohri creates installations that convey intangible energies such as magnetism, gravity, light, and temperature, by creating assemblages of reconfigured everyday items, junk, and machine parts collected in cities around the world.
The arrangement of these kinetic objects is tailored to their display environment, creating singular spaces imbued with both humor and tension.
At SIAF2014 she shows two new installations, in Chi-Ka-Ho and at Seikatei, anarchitectural landmark dating to the early days of Sapporo’s development (and registered tangible cultural property of the city), located on the former site of a memu (the Ainu word for“ water spring”).
