So Kanno / yang02
So Kanno, an artist who employs electronic circuits and programming, and yang02, who produces work on digital media platforms dealing with physicality and public commonality, reunite for their first collaboration since Senseless Drawing Bot (2011).
Sensors mounted in multiple locations in the Chi-Ka-Ho walkway count the number of people coming and going in real time, and in response to this data, a dozen or more pendulum-structured drawing modules hung from the wall continually move up and down, back and forth, to produce pictures that render the flow of human movement visible. （ Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walkway〈 Chi-Ka-Ho〉）
