A.P.I. (Arctic Perspective Initiative)

The Arctic Perspective Initiative (A.P.I.) is an international non-profit group made up of individuals and organizations founded by Marko Peljhan and Matthew Biederman.
The A.P.I. promotes the creation of open authoring,communications,and dissemination infrastructures within the circumpolar region.
Its aim is to work with, learn from, and empower the North and Arctic Peoples through open-source technologies, applied education, and training. At SIAF2014, the A.P.I. will present the CIRCUMPOLAR-PHOENIX project,which encompasses the exploration of the cultural and
geopolitical links of Hokkaido with the Kuril Islands, Kamtchatka, Chukotka, and North America.
