| Can teams apply? | Yes. However, if a team wins the competition, only one member will be invited to the award ceremony in Sapporo. |
| Is it OK to submit video? | Video footage may be provided as supplementary material to aid understanding of the audio submission. Any video to be submitted should be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo. The URL can then be included in the remarks section of the Soundscape Competition web page or on the entry form when the sound file is submitted. |
| Is it OK to send a sound file in 5.1 channel format? | Yes. However, existing speakers (not the 5.1 channel type) will be used in principle when the winning submission is played in public spaces. Sound files (3 minutes or more) in 5.1 channel format can be played only at the entrance area of the Former Sapporo Court of Appeals (a.k.a. Shiryokan) using speakers set-up specially installed for the event. |
